Trump-Musk feud intensifies; wrongly deported man returns to US

Less than a week after President Donald Trump held an Oval Office event to mark the end of Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s tenure as a “special government employee,” tensions between the two escalated on social media. Musk criticized Trump's legislative agenda, particularly the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, for potentially increasing the deficit and cutting electric vehicle tax credits. In response, Trump dismissed Musk's concerns and questioned his mental state.

Meanwhile, a wrongly deported Guatemalan man identified as O.C.G. was returned to the U.S. based on a judge's order. This marked the first time under Trump's administration that such an action took place following judicial intervention. U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy ordered the return after finding due process violations in O.C.G.'s deportation.

Additionally, U.S. District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg ruled that migrants sent to a notorious prison in El Salvador must be allowed to challenge their deportations. The decision came amid legal challenges against Trump's use of wartime powers to deport individuals allegedly associated with Venezuelan gangs.

The Supreme Court issued several rulings, including one affecting a Catholic nonprofit. It ruled unanimously in favor of Catholic Charities Bureau of the Diocese of Superior, Wisconsin, overturning a previous decision by the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

President Trump also marked D-Day with a statement honoring those who fought during World War II, emphasizing their role in securing global freedom.
