The City of Erlanger has announced a Special Meeting for the Parks Master Planning Task Force, scheduled for July 8, 2025. The meeting will take place at the Erlanger City Building, located at 505 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky, and is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.

The agenda includes several key points such as approval of minutes from previous meetings held on February 4, March 4, and April 1 of this year. The discussion will cover updates on various park projects for the years 2024 and 2025.

Among the topics to be discussed are updates on Eons Park, including plans for a dog park with grading, fencing, electric installations, parking lot proposals with bid dates, retaining wall murals, and grand opening dates. There will also be discussions about pavement improvements along Spine Road and planned intersection improvements with proposed bid dates.

Additionally, there will be talks about private donations and funding procedures related to these projects. Sherbourne Park's Phase I and II developments are also on the agenda. This includes playgrounds, shelters, site improvements/landscaping efforts along Sherbourne Drive with island improvements/banners discussions about name changes and setting a date for the grand reopening.

For proposed projects in 2025/2026, Locust Street Park construction drawings and reviews of master plans are included in the agenda. Eons Park grants' current submittals will be reviewed along with Phase II parking lot improvements for the dog park. Maintenance building considerations are also part of this section.

Further discussions involve naming rights progress regarding Cherry Hill Property signage alongside I-275 culvert pipe crossing/benching plans with temporary parking/access to culvert pipe-Black Property mentioned too. Silverlake Park fencing is another point up for discussion during this special meeting session before adjournment takes place later that evening.
