Born on November 10, 1971, in Ft. Thomas, KY, Jodi's life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and unwavering determination. A graduate of Conner High School in 1989, she later obtained a bachelor's degree in Mental Health and Human Services from Northern Kentucky University. Despite battling significant health challenges, Jodi lived a full and purposeful life.
Jodi dedicated herself to caring for animals as an animal nutritionist and veterinary assistant, where her love for animals and desire to help others shone brightly. She had a deep affection for Tennessee Walking Horses, particularly Red and George, and found joy in missions work, surgeries, and supporting the youth at Brighton Center. An active member of Seven Hills Church, Jodi's generous nature, independence, and ability to forge lasting friendships left an indelible mark on all who crossed her path.
Predeceased by her grandparents and cousin, Jodi is survived by her devoted parents, John “Butch” and Mary Ellen Flannery; her brother Eric, along with his family; close friends Andrea Nieman and Kimberly Watkins; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were touched by her compassionate spirit.
A celebration of Jodi's life will be held at a later date, with further details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Skydog Sanctuary Inc. or Apache Youth Ministries to honor Jodi's memory and legacy of service.
