John E. Burlowski, 74, passed away on Easter, April 20, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Born on February 1, 1951, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, John was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Economics and Political Science. He had a successful banking career, notably as Vice President of Regulatory and Trust Services at Fifth Third Bank in Cincinnati, Ohio, before his retirement.

Known for his dry wit, level-headedness, and thoughtful leadership, John was a joy to work with and admired by colleagues. He shared a loving bond with his wife, Joan Sampson Burlowski, for 40 years, marked by negotiation, humor, and mutual respect.

A MENSA scholar, John had an insatiable curiosity and love for learning. He explored photography, the arts, and even learned to play the Blues harmonica. He was described as a generous and exceptional gift-giver, known for his calm wisdom, gentle spirit, and loyalty as a friend and gentleman.

John faced health challenges with quiet strength, including Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He is survived by his wife, Joan, family members, including nephew Tim and niece Elise Burlowski, as well as many cousins, relatives, and close friends.

Private gatherings will honor John's life, with memorial contributions suggested to the Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP). Memories and condolences can be shared online at www.linnemannfuneralhomes.com. John will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
