Pro-life activists gathered at Georgetown University for the 26th annual Cardinal O’Connor Conference on Life, focusing on globalizing their efforts. The event, themed “Life and Dignity: A Global Commitment,” followed the national March for Life in Washington.

The conference, named after Cardinal John J. O’Connor, aimed to explore the international dimensions of pro-life advocacy. Lila Rose, president and founder of Live Action, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the movement's need to win "hearts and minds" and criticized the notion that abortion is solely a state issue post-Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision.

“No democracy has the right to vote for the death of an innocent person like a mob,” Rose stated.

President Donald Trump sent a video message to the March for Life rally expressing pride in his role in overturning Roe v. Wade but maintained that abortion should be decided by states.

Rose also addressed Vice President JD Vance’s comments supporting mifepristone access, calling it "stupid," while acknowledging his talent and urging him to align with Catholic teachings.

The conference featured various speakers discussing topics such as human trafficking and moral theology, including Sister Patricia Ebegbulem and Dominican Father Gregory Pine.
