Erlanger prepares for regular council meeting on January 7

The City of Erlanger is set to conduct a Regular Council Meeting on January 7, 2025. The meeting will take place at the Erlanger City Building located at 505 Commonwealth Avenue, Erlanger, Kentucky, starting at 7:00 p.m.

The agenda for the meeting includes several items. Proceedings will begin with a call to order, followed by an invocation and pledge to the flag. Roll call and approval of minutes from the previous meeting held on December 3, 2024, are also scheduled.

Special presentations during the meeting will feature a business spotlight on "Greek to Me," presented by George Betas, as well as a proclamation declaring "Vicki Kyle Day."

Reports will be provided by various city officials including the Mayor, City Administrator, and City Attorney. There will also be updates on capital projects and reports from department heads and task forces.

Several bids are up for discussion including those related to Dolwick Personal Services Contract, Kentaboo and Virginia Street Reconstruction, and Narrows Road Bridge Rehabilitation.

In terms of new business, there is an executive session planned under KRS 61.810(1)(b) for deliberations concerning future real property transactions by public agencies.

Legislation topics include an ordinance text amendment regarding building material sales (first reading), a municipal order concerning a vacant position in the Urban Forest Commission, and Resolution 650 relating to an easement on Erlanger Road.
