Richard was born in Covington, Kentucky on April 29, 1938, to Richard J. Powers, Sr. and Mary Schuler Powers, as one of eleven children. He retired as a sheet metal worker from Union Local #24 and was a member of St. Henry Church. Richard found joy in fishing whenever the opportunity arose.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Nancy (Ball) Powers on February 18, 2024; his son, Douglas Powers in 2018; and his parents, Richard and Mary Powers.
Richard is survived by his son, Steven Powers; three granddaughters, Vicky (Phil) Hepfinger, Michelle Powers, and Ashley (Steven) Withers; and six great-grandchildren with two more on the way, including Jake, Harper, Emily, Everly, Piper, and Olivia.
The services will be private and held at the convenience of the family, with interment at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell. The Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Erlanger is assisting the family during this time.
